Agnieszka Berger also known as Agn Berger.
Sculpteur, performer, ceramicist, philologist.
I work as a multidisciplinary artist. As a performance artist I have performed in both hemispheres, in galleries, in public buildings, on the streets, town squares, in landscape, photographs, on film, video, and social media, in silence, and with words, still and moving, with choreography, artifacts and objects, since 2015.
I have a long fascination with the visual and adaptive qualities of themes such as verbal and non-verbal communication, inner home and place, belonging, emigration, ontological change, inner noise and silence, emotional and mental oscillation, caused by control and the wish to release it, which was explored in 2018 in live and video performance “Oscillation” with words and choreography or Bushel of apples in 2023.
Since 1995 I have been active as a sculptor and ceramicist, working on small and big indoor or outdoor sculptures.
My fascination with wild nature, vast open spaces, plants’ sentience makes me feel a chloro-thrill. It brought to life series of outdoor ceramic sculptures on steel constructions (Whispers in the Shadow of a Tree, Towards the Sun, Fortress, Wrapped in Shine) as well as a series of sewn big soft sculptures with inner plant structure (Baby’s Breath, Softoreus).
I have exhibited and taken part in art competitions in Europe and Australia since 1997. I have held workshops in ceramics, and performance in Australia. My teaching experience includes art therapy with prisoners in Poland, working as an art tutor and curator in Canberra and Warsaw.
My sculptures and art objects are in private collections in Poland, The Czech Republic, Iceland, Australia, Germany and Hungary.

Zajmuję się zarówno sztukami wizualnymi, performatywnymi jak i językiem.
Tematy do twórczości czerpię z życia, z wewnętrznej potrzeby zgłębiania, poszukiwania wewnętrznej drogi do siebie.
Fascynuje mnie świat dzikiej przyrody i niezmierzonych otwartych przestrzeni. Zanurzona w zieleni dostaję chloro-bzika. Rośliny traktuję jak rodzinę najbliższą i dom. Z tej fascynacji powstała potężna seria pokaźnych rzeźb ceramicznych na stalowych stelarzach (Szepty w cieniu drzew, Ku słońcu, Twierdza, Otulona Blaskiem) oraz seria rzeźb szytych (soft sculpture - Baby’s Breath i Czarny Lód) z konstrukcją roślinną.
Mieszkając w Australii zajmowały mnie tematy komunikacji niewerbalnej, domu wewnętrznego i miejsca, które daje poczucie przynależności, bycia u siebie. (performensy: Diffusion, Gdzie jest mój dom, Kamienica, Domowy alfabet, Paplanie w zaroślach)
Inne wątki to emocjonalne oscylacje, szukanie istoty tego kim jeste-ś-m-y a więc ciągłe ocieranie się o pytania ontologiczne ( performensy: Baby’s Breath Secret, Trespassing Unknown, Oscylacje, Suture – szew chirurgiczny, Clean up – Porządki, Latacze)
Tworzę rzeźbę społeczną w miasteczku na półwyspie Istria w Chorwacji – miejsce spotkań i dom współpracy twórczej – Ag Nie Bo inaczej Agni Heaven.
Podyplomowe studia rzeźbiarskie ukończyłam w Canberze na Australijskim Uniwersytecie Narodowym, gdzie wcześniej otrzymałam dyplom na wydziale Ceramiki. Wiele lat wstecz w Serbii studiowałam filologię południowo-słowiańską.
